Jeff Hand is a software developer by career (day) and a writer by passion (night). Jeff has written newsletter articles, devotions, and reflections for his local congregation. In addition to being an active member of his congregation, Jeff is a long-standing member of the local Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) class. He also began teaching Sunday school for high school students in 2011.

After years of consideration and much encouragement from several supporters, Jeff began two blogs earlier this year.Pew Ponderings is a faith-based blog covering Sunday school questions, devotions, reflections, sermon notes, and anything else a layperson might ponder while sitting in a church pew. Random Ruminations is an electronic commonplace covering everything else that drifts through the mind of a writer.

Jeff is married and has two elementary school-aged boys. He would like to thank, first and foremost, God, who in His grace provided a gift for the written word, a supportive family, and many encouragers. Jeff would also like to thank his family (immediate and extended) and many supporters, especially two pastors (past and present) who recognized a God-given gift and gave a nudge. Last, but certainly not least, Jeff would like to thank Christine Miller-Ramey for this opportunity to collaborate in writing devotions for Devotionals for Bloggers.
